HELMETS MANDATORY AT ALL TIMES FOR ALL PERSONS RIDING
ON ANY VEHICLE.
Horses and ponies must be fit. The courses will be very challenging in terms
of stamina and strength.
Organizer reserves the right to refuse any entry not deemed suitable for this competition. Antique vehicles by permission only!.
Section A: A marathon pace of approximately 4 kilometers. First Start time will be aprox. 10 am. Start Times will be assigned. The terrain is up and down a hill with 250 feet in elevation change. The footing is mostly turf with a few short distances of gravel road. The marathon will be thru fields and non-trafficked farm roadways. There may be one or two soft wet spots but no water crossings.
Section B: ADS Preliminary Test 4. After completing Section A, Drivers will have a few minutes to relax before starting Preliminary Test 4. After completing the Test, drivers will begin Section C.
Section C: A marathon pace of approximately 4 Kilometers. Much of this section will be over the same course as Section A but may not be entirely identical. At the completion of Section C, drivers will have approximately 10 minutes until they begin Section D.
Section D: An Obstacle Driving Course that includes one CDE Type Hazard run in our main ring.
RULES: Drive 10 sets of cones gates at a mandatory trot to a Hazard. After clear Gate 10, drive at any gait. After completing the Hazard, resume the trot and drive Gates 10 - 1 in reverse order, to the Finish Line. Fastest course time wins. ADS Combined Driving penalties apply in the Hazard. The footing is compact turf.
DIVISIONS - Open Single Horses; Open Single Ponies; Open Multiples - if entries warrant.
ENTRY FEE - Entry Fee will be $50 plus a contribution to the
pot luck meal served after the event. The event may be canceled due to
weather conditions. All fees will be refunded. There is no rain date.
There will be a vet and farrier on call. Entries will be limited to 20 total
turnouts. Entries close Oct 3.
STABLING -VERY limited stabling is available at $25 per night. Adequate trailer parking with accessible water will be available at no charge.
