Carriage Driving Runs in the Family
Charlestown Scotland is photographed here at his home in NH at age 24 in the late fall of 2004.
He is the sire of SBS Risky Business and Telishan Santiam, both of whom are in training for carriage driving at Green Meads Farm.
Both these Morgans are particularly good thinkers, a quality we are certain was handed down by Scotland.
We were also particularly impressed with the wonderful bone and correctness of Scotland's legs.
Here's a nice photo of his sire, Elm Hill Charter Oak.
Scotland's dam, Optimistic, is also the dam of GW, a wonderful carriage horse owned, trained and driven by Anne Council.
GW is the sire of G's Excellent Adventure,
one of the winningest Morgan carriage horses in the USA, owned, trained and driven by R. Lani Sattler.
See Scotland's pedigree here.
